Vivian Taormina, Director of TAO, is a New Jersey State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT); Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (BCTMB), Certified Advanced DeepFeet/Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, AshiThai and Certified Massage Cupping Practitioner. Since 2004 Vivian has helped thousands of clients with chronic back pain, migraines, range of motion to name a few. Her hands are now only reserved for cupping and all clients receive massage ``soley`` with her feet.
Roseanne is an enthusiastic talented member of the Tao Team bringing 25 years experience as a licensed massage therapist.
Within 25 years she has mastered and blended several modalities including: Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, Reiki, myofascial release, relaxation, guasha, prenatal, seated chair, geriatric massage & hot stone.
Most notably she has recently added Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy to that list as well as a sound healing modality where tuning forks are used to instill a deep sense of peace and relaxation within the body.
As a practicing Licensed Occupational Therapist for 38 years serving hospitals, nursing Homes, outpatient clinics and private practice as a hand therapist; namely New York University Hospital, The Jewish Home in CT, Hand Rehabilitation Center, CT, Reneé combines a unique classical “medical model” clinical training with “alternative” skills to bring to her clients an informed, multi-disciplined/faceted nature approach to healing. Reneé is a Reiki Master and has studied many forms of hands on healing. She has concluded a research study in cold laser with 30 patients to be presented to the American Hand Society.
Melissa attributes her call to bodywork to the same spirit that originally drew her to counseling and social work: a desire to assist others on their paths to wellness. She believes that compassionate touch through massage benefits people on many levels, from the physical to the emotional and spiritual.
Melissa incorporates elements of Swedish, connective tissue therapy, movement, stretching and energy work into her integrative sessions.
A graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Massage, Melissa concurrently is a therapist at a spa in NYC and has worked at Rasa in Ithaca, and is looking forward to working with you at Tao.
Denise holds a Masters degree in Holistic Health. Spanning 25 years of practice and education in Healing Arts Therapies she specializes in hypnosis, EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy), and Classical Homeopathy. As a practitioner of Metamorphosis she addresses unconscious patterns of tension that create mental, emotional, physical and behavioral disturbances. In addition, Denise is an Energy Midwife and Intuitive Healer.
Presently Denise is an Integrative Self-Care Therapies Instructor at Georgian Court University in addition to the Integrative Therapies Facilitator at Mary’s Place by the Sea in Ocean Grove NJ.
Over 15 years ago Kimaya started working at a resort in Colorado where she became the spa manager in less than a year. She graduated from the Institute for Therapeutic Massage where she is also an instructor. In 2013 she started teaching internationally at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy.
Kimaya lives to travel and along those roads has learned many different massage techniques: Thai Massage, Hawaiian Lomi, Mayan Abdominal Therapy, PreNatal, and most recently, Ashiatsu, all of which she is thrilled to offer at Tao Massage.
As a graduate of Health Choices, NJ Andreas education and continued learning has a multidisciplinary approach where NeuroMuscular Therapy, Polarity and energy work, Joint mobilization are used to approach the whole body, to name a few.
